Our history working in Colombia stretches back to 1995 and a partnership with Don Enrique Vasquez and his family operation in Pasto, Colombia. Our fist exports were traditional Nariño coffees in both Supremo and Excelso grades and later developed into our mill marks “Reserva del Patron” and “Narino del Abuelo.” Our partnership has strengthened and grown over the years to include our most recent venture, the jointly owned trilladora “Empresas de Antioquia” which we opened in 2009 in Jardin, Antioquia.
We manage our own employees who work in both southern and northern Colombia organizing and executing parchment purchases on behalf of the jointly owned company. Our Quality teams in Costa Rica and Vermont work in close tandem with our Colombian group to oversee and supervise quality, and our office in Jardin operates like a branch extension of our offices in the US and Costa Rica.
After our trips to La Minita in Costa Rica, our annual December trip to Jardin is our most frequent and regular client trip.
